Rwanda council veterinary doctors organize 1st Annual Rwandan Veterinary Scientific 2019 from 04-06th December, 2019 at Jesuit Urumuri centre (Remera –Kigali) known as Centre Christus
The theme of this 1st Annual Rwandan Veterinary Scientific 2019 “The Role of Veterinarians and Animal Scientists in addressing challenges to sustainable development”
The Rwanda Council of Veterinary Doctors (RCVD) together with its stakeholders and partners will host national conference on “The Role of Veterinarians and Animal Scientists in addressing challenges to sustainable development”. The purpose of this conference is to demonstrate impact of veterinarians and animal scientists on improving community livelihoods and health through addressing challenges to sustainable development. The specific objectives are:
a) To showcase achievements and innovations from academia, industry, community, international, public and private sector
b) To disseminate research findings
c) To provide mentorship opportunities, and
d) To broaden and strengthen training, research and community outreach
Sub-theme of the conference
- Veterinary profession in Rwanda: opportunities and challenge
- One health approach to tackle zoonotic diseases: issues/opportunities and challenge
- Gender role in sustainable livestock production
- Animal behavior, welfare, wildlife and veterinary ethics
- Veterinary continuing education
- Livestock health and production: the role of animal source food in combatting malnutrition
NB: Participating at the scientific conference will be an added value for CPD during the Licensing exercise 2020.
