RCVD

is a regulatory body mandated to regulate the veterinary profession. Its general mission is to ensure that its members (veterinary professionals and para-professionals) provide quality and reliable services :
  • Curative and preventive veterinary medicine;
  • Animal reproductive;
  • Veterinary pharmacy practice and use of inputs and livestock equipment;
  • Hygiene and quality of animal products;
  • Wild animal medicine.

  • REQUIREMENTS FOR RCVD REGISTRATION/MEMBERSHIP

    1-Letter addressed to the Chairperson of the Council ; 2-Notified diploma /Degree ; 3-Photo passport ; 4-Bankslip of 30.000F paid at RCVD No 0004000653033-35 BK ; 5-Copy of ID ; 6-Fill the application form .

  • LICENSE APPLICATION
    • A license application letter addressed to the Chairperson of the council in which it must be indicated 1, 2 or 3 types of non-conflicting veterinary services falling within the fields of activity covered by the veterinary profession (as mentioned in article 2) as well as the zone in which the applicant wishes to practice (district, sector);

    • A copy of the previous license (for veterinary practitioners already in practice and in possession of a valid license);

    • A passport photo in color

    • Proof of payment of annual licensing fee ; (60,000 for BSc,DVM,MSc,PhD and 40,000 for A2 and A1 diploma holders

    • Proof of participation in CPD activities attended during the license validity period that is about to expire (for veterinary practitioners already in practice). The veterinary professional must obtain a minimum of twenty credit points per CPD year while for a veterinary paraprofessional it is a minimum of fourteen credit points per CPD year.

    • Certificate of registration in the country of origin and its translation, if applicable

  • FIELD OF PRACTICES :
    • a) Curative and preventive veterinary medicine (veterinary clinic);

    • b) Veterinary pharmacy practice and use of inputs and livestock equipment;

    • c) Animal feeds and feeding;

    • d) Bovine artificial insemination;

    • e) Swine artificial insemination;

    • f) Hygiene and quality of animal products;

    • g) Wild animal medicine;

    • h) Animal resources extension & advisory services to farmers;

    • j) Research;

    • k) Veterinary consultancy.
